I have arrived in Orvieto! We had a good, uneventful flight, and I am very tired but still going strong. This area is beautiful, and this convent is very cold - but the many warm personalities by which I am surrounded will help take off that edge. This is a really great group of people, I feel very welcome. Some of them are pretty wacky, which is awesome. I don't want to say too much yet, because I'm not at the mental capacity right now to be able to use adequate language. More to come.
It's really, really cold inside.

Benvenuto!
This is my travel blog for the spring 2009 semester that I spend in Orvieto, Italy. I am residing in the convent (!) San Paolo in this medieval town located about halfway between Rome and Florence, courtesy of Gordon College's study abroad program. Part of the environment here is dedicated to re-learning how to be independent from technology when appropriate; I cannot, therefore, promise a steady rhythm of posts. I will do my best, however, to keep you up to speed with the important parts of my life here until I return in June! Please feel free to comment on my posts, I welcome your thoughts!
